Barron man indicted on meth charges

MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Federal Grand Jury is indicting a Barron County man for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

The indictment accuses Daniel Swessel, 33, of Barron, of possessing methamphetamine on two separate occasions; on Sept. 1 and Oct.11.

The charges allege that Swessel had more than 50 grams of the drug on him on Oct. 11.

If convicted of both charges, Swessel faces 60 years in federal prison.
