EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wis. (RELEASE FROM HEALTH DEPT.)-- The Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department announces that water testing results by the City County Health Department indicate Coon Fork Lake County Park campground and dayside beaches, Lake Eau Claire and Lake Altoona beaches, and Big Falls wading area have unsafe levels and are closed effective immediately. The City-County Health Department policy is to close all areas whenever water samples indicate high levels of bacteria above safe standards. The Health Department will retest the areas today and the Parks & Forest Department will inform the public when bacteria levels are within acceptable health standards.
