WASHINGTON, D.C. (WEAU) -- Representative Ron Kind introduced a bipartisan bill today to help recruit health care professionals to Wisconsin veteran affairs facilities.

The legislation would address recruitment issues in several VA clinics including Tomah, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.

"It will make it easier for VA medical centers across the country in critical shortage areas to hire the professional help that they need so our Veterans our getting the care and treatment that they require," said Rep. Ron Kind.

Representative Kind said in the past, VA clinics have been forced to turn away patients due to staffing shortages.
