Investigators will do an autopsy on a man whose body was found earlier this week.
On Friday, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said crews found James Barney, 53, of La Crosse in about 5-7 feet of water. The sheriff's office received a report of a possible missing person on Wednesday afternoon. The caller said that Barney was working on a suspension bridge over a pond on County Road K in Hatfield, and that he had not been seen in a couple hours. The sheriff's office called in the Jackson County Dive Team to help.
Crews found Barney's body about 90 minutes after the call for help. There's no word on a cause of death.
