EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The 12th annual Steak & Burger Dinner took place Thursday night, benefiting the Boys and Girls Club - Mary Markquart Center.

It took place at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire.

The fun-filled evening featured the kids enjoyed steaks while the adults dined on burgers. The event also boasted member highlights and a silent auction.

This year's theme was “Leaving Your Legacy," honoring Lee and Mary Markquart.

Organizers say it's a special night to tell the kids how wonderful they are.

“We love steak and burger night because of all the people that come one of the best parts is that they get to sit down and meet the members too,” says Executive Director, Sara Antonson.

Thursday night, The Boys and Girls Club announced it’ll be changing the name of the Eau Claire facility to the Lee and Mary Markquart Center.
