Brian Wright appointed Barron County District Attorney

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Governor Walker appoints a new Barron County District Attorney.

Brian Wright will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of district attorney Angela Beranek.

Walker said Wright brings more than 24 years of legal experience in civil, criminal, and administrative law to the position.

Wright is currenlty a solo practitioner in Eau Claire.

He also serves as the municipal attorney for ordinance and traffic violation prosecution for the Village of Lake Hallie and Cadott.

He previously served as a judge on the Eau Claire County Circuit Court.
