Chippewa firefighters respond to semi fire on 29

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Firefighters were on the scene of a truck and trailer on fire in Chippewa County Friday.

Chippewa Fire District Firefighters say they responded to reports of a burning truck and trailer on Highway 29 around 10 a.m.

Firefighters say when they arrived, the trailer was in flames. They say the cause of the fire is unknown, but the truck was hauling a corn by-product which firefighters say could have overheated.

No one was injured.
