The woman charged in the death of a man in Dunn County is ordered to undergo a competency evaluation.

Ezra McCandless appeared in court Wednesday, April 25 for her preliminary hearing.

Court records show her competency evaluation will be filed on May 2nd.

According to a criminal complaint, McCandless and 24-year-old Alexander Woodworth were in a vehicle that got stuck on a muddy road in the Town of Spring Brook on March 22.

McCandless told investigators she started stabbing "anywhere and everywhere."

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office said Woodworth was stabbed 16 times.

McCandless is charged with first degree intentional homicide.
