PIERCE CO., Wis. (WEAU) -- Around 40 people are sick after a celebration in Pierce County.

The Pierce County Health Department says they started receiving calls on August 23 of people that were sick after the El Paso Days celebration.

The department says the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene says the people that were sick have norovirus.

They say the under-cooked chicken has not been identified as the source of the norovirus.
