DURAND, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Durand woman who recently retired as director of the city's library is charged with financial theft from the library.
The Pepin County District Attorney's Office filed one count of "theft from a business setting" against Patricia Blount.
The City of Durand says in October it discovered what it called "questionable activity" on the library's accounts.
After a review of financial records, Blount was initially placed on administrative leave and then she retired as library director.
An initial appearance is scheduled for January 7.
