EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Since 2012, the community table and Eau Claire Transit have been providing free bus passes for people to get to and from the community table in Eau Claire, which provides free meals every day of the year.
Starting November 1st, bus passes will be available to those in need in more spots around the area.
People will be able to find bus passes at all Eau Claire Area School District Elementary Schools. (Flynn, Meadowview, Montessori, Manz, Longfellow, Sam Davey, Locust Lane, Robbins, Lakeshore, Sherman, Northwoods, and Putnam Heights)
Passes will also be provided at various social service agencies like Western Dairyland, ADRC, Family Promise, and Catholic Charities.
The passes become available from November 1 through March 31, 2019. A pass is good for a single ride to or from The Community Table. It is Good 30-minutes before/after meal service at The Community Table. Two passes are available per individual, every day, throughout the season that passes are available.
