EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- The Eau Claire Police Department is asking for your help in finding a missing man.

Police say Blake Mares,23, was reported missing by his family on Sunday. Officers say on October 20th Mares was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by the Altoona Police Department. During the stop police say he fled on foot towards a wooded near Highway 53.

Police say prior to the incident the Department of Corrections had issued a warrant for his arrest. Officers say they're actively investigating this case as a missing person.

"We've been doing an investigation and we've been able to find there's no activity on his cell phone, no activity on any financial records that we've been able to find, and very little to now information or activity on his social media accounts," Sergeant Mark Pieper with the Eau Claire Police Department said.

If you have any information you're asked to contact the Eau Claire Police Department.
