Eau Claire radio show host locks himself in dog crate for a good cause

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Thursday, a local fundraiser is helping area humane associations, and one radio broadcaster is ‘wagging his tail’ to help the cause.

Morning show host on 92.9, Scorch, is turning heads at the Milwaukee Burger Company in Eau Claire right now, after volunteering to lock himself in a dog crate for several days.

The event is called Scorch's Paws for a Cause. It’s raising funds for the Eau Claire and Chippewa County Humane Associations. It’s also helping to provide bulletproof vests for the Eau Claire, Chippewa and Altoona K-9 units. It's his seventh time doing the fundraiser.

Be sure to stop by and visit scorch in the Milwaukee Burger parking lot to donate. He will be taking an average of only 20 minute breaks a day. The event ends Monday at 6 p.m.
