ELK MOUND, Wis (WEAU) -- A handful of area high school students gathered to pay tribute to those who serve our country, a day ahead of Veteran's Day. Students at Elk Mound High School gathered to lead a small procession of trucks and cars to school.

The trucks were decked out in American flags to show patriotism. The procession began at the McDonald's parking lot on Highway 312 at about 7:30 a.m. and then departed for the high school.

The students say it was all about honoring our veterans.
