Feed My People celebrates 'Feeding Health Families' campaign

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Feed my People Food Bank is celebrating the "Feeding Healthy Futures" campaign, which would more than double the size of their warehouse.
The need for expansion comes from a growth in demand; the amount of food distributed has more than tripled in the last ten years, according to Feed My People.

The food bank says the expansion creates opportunities for more food storage, more volunteers, and more programs.

Those with the bank say Feed my People will soon have the capability to serve a higher quantity, and a wider array of food.

"We've seen seven times the growth in fresh food and produce. So, we need much more cooler space to have more nutritious opportunities for folks,” said Emily Moore, with Feed My People.

Groundbreaking is expected this spring, and the project should be complete by the fall.
