EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (NEWS RELEASE)-- Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is hosting the annual Give Kids a Smile Day event for the 14th consecutive year Friday.

The event allows children ages 2 to 13 to obtain, upon approval, free dental care, including teeth cleaning, X-rays, exams, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions. They will also receive education on proper oral hygiene.

Care will be provided by local dentists and hygienists, as well as CVTC dental hygienist and dental assistant students and faculty volunteering their time.

The event is sponsored nationally by the American Dental Association and locally by the Chippewa Valley Dental Society and the Wisconsin Dental Association. The event represents the only time all year that some of the children get dental care.

It's being held Friday, February 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Health Education Center, 615 W. Clairemont Ave., on the south side across from the CVTC Business Education Center.
