EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Governor Walker says Foxconn may be considering investing in the Chippewa Valley.

The governor spoke at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire Wednesday and discussed workforce development with the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce.

Walker touched on breaking down barriers to get more people into the workforce and
Recruiting and marketing to bring talent in from across the country.

As part of that Walker says Foxconn may be looking into a workforce related facility in the area.

Walker said, “We believe Foxconn is considering an additional investment in the Chippewa Valley and we think that will help them augment some of the work they're doing to track more talent to help them with operations and that it physically doesn't have to be all down in Racine.”

The governor says Foxconn will likely be the one to make the announcement at an event.

He believes that announcement is expected in the next two weeks.
