Gov. Walker talks about Ethics Commission appointment
Governor Scott Walker says he had no part in appointing the new leader of the state's Ethics Commission.
The governor made the remarks will in Chippewa Falls Tuesday.
Democrat Peg Lautenschlager was chosen as the Commission's leader.
The former attorney general was appointed by democrats on the ethics panel.
Walker says the commission basically drew straws to determine if its chair would be a democrat or republican.
"I don't have any say over it one way or the other. It was literally up to them, so whether people like or dislike her appointment, that's one the democrats specifically made," said Walker.
Walker was in town as part of the "Cabinet on the Road" tour, where state officials are visiting communities across western Wisconsin.
