ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) -- Christmas is near and community members are already sharing holiday cheer.
Grace Lutheran Communities hosted its annual dinner for residents and family members Tuesday.
More than 250 people were served a tasty Christmas meal by the dining staff at River Pines and Prairie Pointe in Altoona.
The menu included hundreds of pounds of food including roast beef, shrimp cocktail, Christmas desserts, and more. Meals were served at no cost.
"We're a non-profit. Our main goal is to provide services to people and not to worry about where the money is coming from so we try as hard as we can to do as much as we can for our employees, our residents and our community," said Chuck Perry.
Grace Lutheran Foundation has been helping communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960.
The organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, child care, independent living and adult day services.
