UPDATE: Body found in Chippewa River in Chippewa Falls identified

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Chippewa Falls Police Department has identified the body of a man they say was found in the Chippewa River Friday night.

According to the Chippewa Falls Police Department, the man is 55-year-old Richard V. Gray.

Lt. Brian Micolichek says a call came in from a fisherman around 8 p.m. Friday for a body partially in the water under the 124 bridge.

Police officers say there's no sign of foul play, but the death is still under investigation at this time.

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Officers with the Chippewa Falls Police Department are on scene around the Chippewa River, near the dam.

Much of the activity is around the area where Duncan Creek empties into the Chippewa River.

WEAU has a crew at the scene gathering information.
