Homeless sex offender to be released in Chippewa County

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A homeless convicted sex offender is set to be released in Chippewa County.

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections says 24-year-old Austin Wooley will be released December 18th. It does not have a permanent address for Wooley and will consider him homeless. Documents say Wooley was convicted of two counts of 3rd degree sexual assault.

He will be supervised by the department of correction until December 19th, 2020.
