WOOD COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man is dead following a crash that ended in a cranberry marsh in Wood County.
It happened Thursday morning just before 7 a.m. on Elm Road in the Town of Hansen.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle in the ditch, partially submerged in the water.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead by the Wood County Coroner. The passenger was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
Deputies say alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash. It is still under investigation.
