A referendum question about legalizing marijuana is set to be on the Nov. 6 ballot in Eau Claire County.

Last night, the county board approved the advisory referendum question.

Voters will have three options: (1) to make marijuana legal for adults 21 years and older for recreational or medical use, (2) for marijuana to be legal for medical purposes only and only with a prescription, *or (3) for the drug to remain illegal as under current law.

If marijuana were to become legal, board supervisors say proceeds from taxes on marijuana would be used for education, health care and infrastructure.
