MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) -- Marshfield officers responded to the 200 blk of N Spruce St. in Marshfield for a man with a knife call.

The man had chased two social workers out of his residence with a knife and subsequently threw it at their vehicle as they were inside.

Upon officers arriving, the man refused to comply with requests to drop the knife and refused to talk to officers. He eventually began deliberately walking towards two officers armed with two knives.

Officers utilized less-lethal bean bag rounds and K9 “H” to defuse the situation. The man, Patrick J Langreck (5/19/66) of Marshfield, was safely taken into custody and transported to Wood County Jail after medical clearance.

Langreck is on probation and four counts of Recklessly Endangering Safety were requested to the Wood County District Attorney.
