Mayo Clinic Health System announces new Southwest Wisconsin Regional Vice President

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Mayo Clinic Health System has announced its new Regional Vice President for the Southwest Wisconsin Region.

At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Dr. Paul Mueller was announced as the next Regional Vice President.

Mueller will take over for Dr. Tim Johnson, who has served as Regional VP for the last eight years.

Mueller has served as chair of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester for the past nine years.

"What I've learned there is about the need for innovation, improving quality, enhancing access and bringing to bare cutting edge technology to help with those patients needs," said Mueller.

Mueller will officially take over as Regional VP on Oct. 1 while transitioning with Johnson.

The Southwest Wisconsin Region covers two hospitals and 11 clinics in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
