Meth found in vehicle with three young children in Galesville

GALESVILLE, Wis. (RELEASE) -- Sheriff Richard Anderson reports that on December 5, 2018 at approximately 1:24 pm, a Deputy of the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on State Highway 54/93 in the the City limits of Galesville, Wisconsin.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Betheny A. Stensven, age 22. A male passenger was also identified as Joseph A. Roberts, age 27. The Deputy also observed 3 children ranging from ages 1 through 5 years of age, who were sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.

During the traffic stop, the Deputy proceeded to deploy his K-9 partner Luke, who alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, Deputies/Officers located some methamphetamine substance along with drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle. At this time the Trempealeau County Department of Human Services assisted with the traffic stop and secured appropriate care for the children. Both Betheny and Joseph were arrested and transported to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office Jail.
