NEW INFORMATION: Marshfield Clinic submits site plan for new facility

Marshfield Clinic Health System submitted a site plan today to city of Eau Claire officials for its new cancer facility.

This is part of a major project to build a hospital and care center at the site of the current plaza hotel along Clairemont Avenue.

The city plan commission will now review the site plan, which outlines the cancer facility's size and orientation, as well as features such as landscaping and lighting.

Marshfield Clinic Health System plans to file a separate site plan for a 50-bed hospital with the city in the coming weeks. The cancer care center is scheduled to be open by the fall of 2017.
