EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Neillsville man with ten warrants out for his arrest is taken into custody after a vehicle pursuit.
It began around 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13 on Highway 53 and County Highway HH in Eau Claire County.
A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper tried to stop a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Douglas Polzin for speeding.
The state patrol says Polzin drove off and the trooper pursued. Polzin turned off Highway 53 and went on several different roads, reaching speeds in excess of 95 miles per hour.
According to the state patrol, Polzin's vehicle crashed into a ditch on County Highway D, and he ran from the scene.
Assisted by Eau Claire County deputies, Polzin was located nearby and taken into custody.
A records check indicated his driver’s license was revoked, and he had ten warrants for his arrest.
