EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An exhibit aimed at teaching children about nutrition and fun ways to reach fitness goals is coming soon to an area museum.
Last year, the Children's Museum of Eau Claire got support from Scheel's and Mayo Clinic Health System for the new “Eat! Move! Live!” exhibit.
Tuesday, a final design for the project and an updated timeline on construction was announced.
The exhibit includes multiple elements giving children an opportunity to move their bodies while improving strength and coordination
"Exercising and being fit: Those ultimately together creates a health person. So, we really wanted to bring all of that into the exhibit and the design,” said Mike McHorney, executive director.
The total cost for the exhibit is $183,000. The museum says 60 percent of that is already raised.
It’s expected to open in the summer of 2019.
