North falls in state baseball quarterfinal

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Eau Claire North Husky baseball team fell to Waunakee in the WIAA Div. 1 state quarterfinal 12-8.

The Huskies started slow and were down 5-0 in the 5th inning but exploded for 5 runs to tie it up. They gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th and came right back in the 6th to tie the ballgame at 7. Waunakee scored 5 in the bottom of the inning to go ahead for good.

The Huskies season ends with a 3rd straight trip to state and a 19-4 record!
