The recall election for one of the members of the Onalaska School Board will be held Tuesday, November 28.

Monday night, the board approved a motion to move forward with a recall election after the Onalaska School Board Clerk last week determined a petition to recall board member Jake Speed was sufficient.

More than 2,300 signatures were collected on the petition.

Those in support of the recall claim Speed misused his office, made false claims and acted with disrespect at board meetings.

The deadline to file nomination papers to run in the recall election is 5 p.m. on October 31.
