One person injured in plow truck crash in Pierce County

PIERCE CO. (NEWS RELEASE)-- On January 19, 2019 at approximately 4:50 a.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash with injury located at the intersection of US Hwy. 10 and 610th Street in Ellsworth Township.

The driver of an Ellsworth Township International plow truck, Timothy Lorenz, 71, of Ellsworth, WI, was working on clearing the intersection of Hwy. 10 and 610th St. While in the the intersection, the plow truck struck a Westbound 2014 Ford F350 Pickup operated by David Schneider, 47, of Durand, WI. Mr. Schneider was transported from the scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance to the River Falls Area Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Assisting at the scene was Ellsworth Area Ambulance and Ellsworth Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
