Police: Chippewa Falls man stabbed several times over debt issue

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Chippewa Falls man was reportedly stabbed by a former roommate over money issues.

Chippewa Falls Police were called to a hospital on Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. to talk to a man who said he had been stabbed by his former roommate and employee, Michael Pierce.

Police say Pierce allegedly went to the victim’s home to confront him about a debt. They say he was armed with several knives. Once the victim got home, police say Pierce stabbed him several times. Police say that’s when Pierce forced the victim to go to an ATM and withdraw money. When they got back to the home, Pierce left and was later found by law enforcement. He was taken into custody

Injuries to the victim are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
