Police investigating death of four-month-old girl

The death of a baby found with no pulse is under investigation.
Officers found four-month-old Lilith Gavigan early Friday morning. Marshfield police responded to a report of the girl not breathing at a home on N. Chestnut Ave. around 12:20 a.m. They found Gavigan with no pulse. Police tried to save her and turned her over to paramedics. She was taken to Marshfield Medical Center, where she died. A news release from the police department did not indicate how she died.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday in Madison.
