MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (CNN) -- New details are being released into the death of Prince, as officials are saying the legendary music icon could have been dead for six hours before his body was found.
A paramedic who responded to a 911 call from Prince's estate released that information in a statement.
Sources also say the singer was given intravenous fluids a day before he died, that he reportedly received it at the hospital, but there's no word why.
Prince was found dead at his mansion in Chanhassen, Minnesota, on April 21st.
Investigators said he was dropped off at home the night before and he spent the evening alone.
Other law enforcement sources said investigators found prescription opioids on him after his death.
Officials are checking if people who knew him may have helped him obtain those drugs.
