CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A former science teacher at Chippewa Falls Middle School who confessed to having sexual contact with a student is denied a resentence.

Joel Jahnke appeared in court Monday, June 18 via video conferencing for a motion hearing.

Earlier this month, Jahnke's attorney filed a motion claiming Judge Steven Cray considered inaccurate information at Jahnke's sentencing in June 2017.

Jahnke was ordered to serve six years in prison and six years of extended supervision.

Court records show Jahnke admitted to touching the girl inappropriately and sending her nude photos and videos.
