MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Rotary Club of Menomonie, the Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club and area volunteers are getting together Wednesday to help package meals for those in need

About 20 area businesses and organizations are meeting at the Stout Ale House to pack more than 45,000 meals. The event is to bring awareness to Rotary and Kids Against Hunger. The meals will be distributed throughout the Chippewa Valley and internationally.

"I think people always want to make a difference in the world, and why not do something where you can have the impact of both locally and internationally?” said organizer Ben Buehler.

The simple meals consist of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetable and 21 essential vitamins and minerals.
