Semi fire blocks off part of I-94 near Hudson

HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) -- A semi fire caused crews to block off part of I-94 near Hudson Tuesday morning.

State troopers say it happened around 8:30 a.m. in St. Croix County. When officers arrived, the semi was fully engulfed, and the fire spread into the trailer. Troopers say the driver was not hurt.

Crews activated the emergency alternate route for eastbound traffic on I-94. The scene was clear and traffic was reopened just before 1 p.m.
