EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Eau Claire Police Department is asking for your help in locating a man who robbed a gas station earlier this evening.

Police say it happened just before 7 P.M. at the Cenex gas station on 3rd Street in Eau Claire.

WEAU spoke one-on-one with Katy Wakling, the woman who was working at the time of the robbery. She says a white man dressed in all black, with his face covered, came into the store through the side door of the building.

The suspect told Wakling not to move and went behind the counter and took money out of the store safe. The $400 in cash that was in the safe, was taken.

The suspect is still on the loose, and anyone with information is asked to call Eau Claire Police at 715-839-4972.
