TOMAH, Wis. (WEAU)- Two people were taken to a hospital after a 3-vehicle crash Sunday morning.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on Highway 131 at Interstate 90 south of Tomah just before noon February 10th. The crash caused a nearly one-hour shutdown on the southbound lane.
Florence Krause, 88, of Tomah was driving north when the slippery, snow covered roads caused her to lose control. Krause ended up crossing the median and was hit by a southbound driver, Mark Migala, 57, of Tomah. Krause’s vehicle then spun around and was hit again by a vehicle driven by Gerald Fushianes, 62, also of Tomah.
Krause was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated. Krause and Migala were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
