ELK MOUND, Wis. (WEAU)-- Deputies say a middle school student accused of making threats to harm several other students, will face charges.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office says the 13-year-old will make a court appearance Thursday and will be charged with making terroristic threats, battery and disorderly conduct.

Deputies say the Elk Mound student made a threat Wednesday regarding the possibility of a shooting that could happen at the school on Friday.

The sheriff's office says it takes a zero tolerance stance on threats of school violence and will continue to have extra patrol units in and around the school to reassure students and parents that they are in a safe environment.
