UPDATE: Several animals believed to be killed in barn fire

MONDOVI, Wis. (WEAU)-- Several animals were killed in a barn fire in Buffalo County.

It happened Sunday around 1:30 p.m. at Loomis Lazy l Tack and Trailer sales on Highway 10 in Mondovi.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Department says a passerby saw smoke coming from the barn.

The sheriff's department says Highway 10 was closed for about two hours during the fire. The Mondovi Fire Chief says the owner believes five or six animals died in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
