UPDATE: Complaint: Man accused of Menomonie death shot roommate with bow and arrow

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The man accused of killing another man in Menomonie shot him with a bow and arrow and slit his throat with a knife. That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Dunn County on Tuesday.

According to the complaint, police were called to the home of Richard Seehaver on December 30 around 3 p.m. Officers say the found Seehaver’s roommate, John Likeness, dead in a recliner.

According to the complaint, Seehaver admitted to police that he killed Likeness saying he, “put him out of his misery.” Seehaver also reportedly told police that he smoked meth the day before the homicide.

The complaint says Seehaver spoke about alien beings and “not being the devil.” The complaint says Seehaver also said that for the past 52 years he had been “reared for his role in an evil organization to take part in the ‘upper echelon’ of troopers.”

Seehaver was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and is due back in court next week.
