UPDATE: Man charged in stabbing death in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A La Crosse man is charged in connection with a stabbing death.

39-year-old Anquin St. Junious is charged with second degree reckless homicide in the death of 42-year-old Virgil Stewart.

The La Crosse Police Department says it received a call around 2 a.m. January 2nd that Stewart had been stabbed in the chest in the 600 block of South Seventh Street.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police say an initial investigation shows two people were trying to leave a home at South Seventh Street in a taxi, and Stewart got in the taxi and got into an argument and physical fight with St. Junious.
