The man accused of killing three people in a crash on I-94 is accused of huffing compressed air before the crash, according to the criminal complaint.

Serghei Kundilovski, 36 of California, was charged in Dunn County Court on July 31 with three counts of first degree reckless homicide.

The complaint says troopers found two cans of canned air duster at the scene of the crash and according to a blood draw, Kundilovski had ethanol and 1,1 Difluoroethane in his system.

The crash happened July 13 near the Village of Knapp. According to a criminal complaint, Kundilovski was driving the wrong way on I-94 when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting another car head-on. All three people in the car hit died: Jeremy Berchem, Adam Kendhammer and Bryan Rudell.

Dunn County Sheriff’s Office tells WEAU 13 News Kundilovski is still in the hospital. He is due in court later this week.
