The woman charged in the death of a man in Dunn County has been found competent to stand trial.

Ezra McCandless appeared in Dunn County Court Tuesday where she also pleaded not guilty to homicide.

According to a criminal complaint, McCandless and 24-year-old Alexander Woodworth were in a vehicle that got stuck on a muddy road in the Town of Spring Brook on March 22.

McCandless told investigators she started stabbing "anywhere and everywhere." The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office said Woodworth was stabbed 16 times.

McCandless is charged with first degree intentional homicide.
