It's Senior Americans Day, and Tuesday afternoon UW-Eau Claire hosted an event at the Davies Center.

Organizers say the goal is to promote the positivity of aging.

Attendees could participate in a variety of activities and learn about different health screenings.

"We have about 40 to 50 sessions what we provide throughout the day different workshops they can attend from Tai Chi, stroke awareness, and all different things in between so it's a great day for them to get out and learn something new and maybe thry something they never tried before," said Claire Lindstrom.

More than 80 exhibitors from across the state attended the event.
