EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Chinese New Year was celebrated earlier this week but for some Chinese students at UW- Eau Claire, they hosted their own celebration on Sunday.
For the first time, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association hosted a celebration with music, food and dance. Many students brought their host families along to teach them about Chinese culture while celebrating the holiday with their friends.
"Just to make our students lives more colorful and to give them a good memory and get time to spend time to celebrate this big festival with their friends,” said Club President, Hong Hu. There were more than one hundred students, friends and host family members at the celebration on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
