Vehicle catches fire at Eau Claire auto shop; no injuries

Crews say no one was hurt after a vehicle caught fire this afternoon in Eau Claire.

It happened Saturday around noon on Craig Road at Adams Automotive. A Dodge Durango had been towed to the automotive shop to be serviced. Employees say the tow truck driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle's engine, they then called for help as the smoke got heavier. The Eau Claire Fire Department says the vehicle was on fire when they got to the scene.

Officials say the cause of the fire appears to be a mechanical failure.
