EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A new park honoring veterans is in the works for Eau Claire.
A 75th Anniversary of D-Day Benefit Concert was held Saturday afternoon at Regis High School in Eau Claire to help support the Eau Claire Veteran Foundation and honor the men and women who serve our country.
The foundation has been working to raise money for the new Veterans' Tribute Park in downtown Eau Claire.
The park will be a place to honor veterans of Eau Claire County from all wars throughout history.
There was no cost to attend, but all donations will go to support the trail. Organizers with the foundation say the goal is to raise $2.2 million.
They say they have already raised just under a million dollars through pledges, donations, and other contributions.
The concert included the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Choir, the Regis High School Choir, and The Master Singers.
